Gnamma holes are natural cavities carved into hard granite, where rainwater and flood runoff collect. For millennia, Aboriginal people followed their songlines to these vital water stores, even protecting them with branches, leaves or flat stones to keep out birds and animals and preserve the life-giving supply.

At THE GNAMMA HOLE, we celebrate special places, people, activities and stories that nourish us—touchstones we return to time and again to refresh our spirit.

But this isn’t just our story. We invite you to contribute your own memories, inspirations and insights—and to engage with those shared by others.

Welcome to THE GNAMMA HOLE… let’s jump in!
